Bunosilo Estate Coffee Roasters

A restaurant Review by Zaka Hossain

📍Location

Nestled discreetly in a quaint corner adjacent to the bustling Haldiram food court in Ballygunge, Kolkata, Bunosilo Estate Coffee Roasters gracefully holds its ground amidst its competitor, Craft Coffee, which conveniently beckons patrons at the entrance of the same lane.

Ambiance

A connoisseur's haven, Bunosilo Estate Coffee Roasters exudes an enchanting aura from the moment one steps foot inside.

The air is filled with an intoxicating symphony of freshly ground coffee beans, evoking a sense of anticipation and delight. The meticulously crafted rustic decor, adorned with polished wooden furnishings, exudes an understated elegance.

Soft, warm lighting casts a gentle glow, creating an intimate and cozy atmosphere that envelops guests in a comforting embrace.

Beverages

As an ardent devotee of Vietnamese coffee, I succumbed to the temptation of indulging in Bunosilo Estate Coffee Roasters' Vietnamese cold brew. With a touch of skepticism, given my encounters with the exceptional Vietnamese coffee at Blue Tokai, another renowned coffee haven in Kolkata, I was pleasantly surprised by the comparable excellence exhibited by Bunosilo's rendition. The first sip transported me to the vibrant streets of Hanoi, as the rich and velvety elixir danced across my palate, leaving behind an intoxicating symphony of flavours.

Kombucha, the effervescent elixir of fermented tea, found its rightful place at Bunosilo Estate Coffee Roasters. With their expertly crafted brew, the tangy and invigorating notes of kombucha provided a refreshing departure from the usual coffee-centric offerings. Each sip of their kombucha was a symphony of complex flavours, showcasing the mastery of the fermentation process.

To further invigorate my senses, I ventured into the realm of their Espresso Mojito. A true testament to the mastery of the barista, this innovative concoction artfully harmonized the bold intensity of espresso with the invigorating zest of a classic mojito.

The resulting libation tantalized my taste buds, intertwining bitter and refreshing notes in perfect harmony. It was a delightful departure from the saccharine indulgence that pervades popular coffee chains, reaffirming my faith in the artistry of coffee craftsmanship.

Food

Amidst the symphony of coffee, a tantalizing ensemble of flavors beckoned from the culinary offerings at Bunosilo Estate Coffee Roasters.

The journey commenced with an indulgent rendezvous with their heavenly brownie. As it gracefully crumbled beneath my fork, each morsel revealed a harmonious marriage of decadent chocolatey bliss. The luxurious richness enveloped my senses, leaving behind a trail of pure ecstasy.

Regrettably, the Chicken Spaghetti Aglio E Olio Pasta failed to ascend to the same heights of gustatory pleasure. The dish, bearing the promise of an Italian classic, faltered in execution.

The flavors lacked the finesse and delicate balance that are the hallmarks of a truly remarkable aglio e olio. Disappointed, I yearned for the harmonious interplay of garlic-infused olive oil, al dente pasta, and subtle hints of spice that had eluded this particular rendition.

Service

At Bunosilo Estate Coffee Roasters, the staff's unwavering dedication to their craft was evident in every interaction. Their profound knowledge and passion for coffee elevated the dining experience to new heights. With genuine warmth and attentiveness, they guided patrons through the meticulously curated menu, expertly deciphering individual preferences and recommending personalized coffee choices that delighted and astounded.

Bunosilo Estate Coffee Roasters goes the extra mile by offering an array of home brewing tools, including French presses, AeroPress, siphons, and even traditional brass South Indian brewing tools, allowing coffee enthusiasts to bring the art of coffee-making to their own homes.

Ambiance Revisited

Basking in the immersive ambiance of Bunosilo Estate Coffee Roasters is akin to embarking on a sensory odyssey.

The cozy nooks, bathed in the soft glow of gentle lighting, offer solace and respite from the world outside, inviting patrons to linger and embrace the captivating moments of respite that only a truly exceptional coffee house can provide.

Price

Bunosilo Estate Coffee Roasters offers a good value for money, with an average pocket pinch of INR 1000 for two people. Considering the quality of their beverages and the overall dining experience, the price is reasonable and worth the indulgence.

In conclusion, Bunosilo Estate Coffee Roasters offers a delightful and visually appealing coffee experience. From their Vietnamese cold brew to their espresso mojito, they cater to a variety of coffee preferences. While their brownie was a standout, the pasta left something to be desired. With its cozy ambiance, knowledgeable staff, and reasonable prices, Bunosilo Estate Coffee Roasters is a great spot for coffee lovers looking to indulge in a sensory and illustrative experience.
